Teenager Wyatt Hillyer moves in with his aunt, uncle and gorgeous cousin after his parents commit suicide on the same day.  The novel is a long letter written by Wyatt to Marlais, the daughter he hardly knows, to explain the "terrible incident" that has kept them apart.  Set in Nova Scotia during WWII, this is a beautiful story of love during wartime.  I highly recommend it! Put this on your summer reading list! The publish date is July 7.

I really enjoyed this book. It tells the tale of The Island of Guernsey during the German occupation and also the story of a wonderfully diverse group of islanders who belonged to the literary society. Add to that a charming love story and you have a book that was a pleasure to read.
